Three panels (18″ x 24″ each) describe the well-lived life of my mom. To the very last day of her life, at 103 years young, she continued to enjoy the flowers and trees around her, thrilled when a bird landed nearby. She made time to read something every day, and re-read her treasured books when the mood struck her. An artist at heart, she filled pages with drawings and doodles. She enjoyed music and loved to sing old-remembered tunes. She always made time for the special someones in her life, and one of her favourite things was to make people laugh. I think a true mark of someone who has cultivated a life of well-being is how you feel after spending even a little time with them; you feel uplifted, energized, and loved. That’s how my mom made people feel.
