Katharine Davies, PhD

Katharine Davies is an Assistant Professor of Teaching at UBC’s School of Audiology and Speech Sciences and a registered speech-language pathologist. Katharine’s research focuses on exploring communication needs and concerns of people living with primary progressive aphasia, a language-led dementia, and their family members from key stakeholder perspectives. Katharine is also a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada’s Ad-Hoc Committee on the Role of Speech-Language Pathologists in Long-Term Care. As a speech-language pathologist, Katharine works with adults with acquired communication disorders across acute care, rehabilitation, and long-term care settings.
