Sheila Novek, PhD
Dr. Sheila Novek is an interdisciplinary aging researcher and CIHR-funded postdoctoral fellow in the UBC School of Nursing with Dr. Alison Phinney. She completed her PhD and MSc. in Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Using critical qualitative methods, Dr. Novek’s research explores the experiences of people living with dementia, family carers, and providers across community and long-term care settings. Her current research is focused on civic engagement in long-term care.
