Shamim Noroozi

I am Shamim Noroozi (MEng), a second-year PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia (Okanagan). I received both my bachelor and master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Science and Research – Azad University (SRBIAU). The focus of my master’s level was on the effects of the robotic and advanced rehabilitation on the movement and balance of people with neurological disorders.

I am currently working on age-related alterations in physiological and postural levels, as well as the deterioration of these factors during performing activities of daily living (ADLs). My interesting field is designing and implementing of advanced, modern AgeTech and wearable devices to facilitate mobility and help aging population maintain their balance during their daily tasks that can lead to healthy aging.
