Dr. Lillian Hung, an Investigator of the Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Aging, and the UBC IDEA Lab, recently received funding from the UBC Equity and Inclusion Office for an Age-Friendly University Project to improve the inclusiveness of the UBC Vancouver campus.
This summer, the team has invited 25 older adults from diverse cultural backgrounds to visit and walk on campus and share their insights on age-friendly universities from their perspectives.
On August 16th, they will hold an event at the GSS Loft at the AMS Nest at 11:00 am, where they will have a photo and video exhibit regarding the project and participants’ insights. All UBC faculty, students, and staff as well as members of the community are welcome to join.
