ELCHA Investigators Receive 2024 Michael Smith Health Research BC Awards!


Congratulations to Dr. Eli Puterman, recipient of the Michael Smith Health Research BC Reach Award!

We are excited to announce that Dr. Eli Puterman, Associate Professor from the UBC School of Kinesiology and an Investigator at the Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Aging (ELCHA), has received a Michael Smith Health Research BC Reach Award for his project: “Collaborating with Community Organizations to Mobilize Knowledge on Healthier Aging to Older Adults Across British Columbia”! Through this initiative, Dr. Puterman plans on developing online resources, hosting public presentations, and launching a podcast series to promote health and well-being for older adults across BC! These impactful projects showcase the importance of research in promoting healthy aging and engaging diverse communities. We are proud to partner with leading organizations to nurture health research talent in BC and support moving research into policy and practice!
