Dialogue on Aging Public Presentation Series: Dr. Samir Sinha

The Dialogue on Aging Public Presentation Series is hosted by the Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Aging and Providence Health Care. On June 27th, 2024, we have the pleasure of hosting a virtual session with Dr. Samir Sinha from the University of Toronto!

Title: Ageing in the Right Place

Summary: Dr. Sinha’s presentation will cover what the National Institute on Ageing (NIA) calls “Ageing in the Right Place.” Recognizing the growing importance of supporting older Canadians’ ability to age successfully while remaining engaged members of their communities, his presentation aims to present a practical definition and framework to understand what ‘ageing in the right place’ (AIRP) is and what is required to make it work. It also highlights existing best practices and opportunities that can reduce unnecessary Long-Term Care (LTC) home admissions and better support the implementation of successful AIRP policies and programs across Canada and beyond.
