Dialogue on Aging Public Presentation Series: Dr. Keri-Leigh Cassidy

The Dialogue on Aging Public Presentation Series is hosted by the Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Aging and Providence Health Care. On January 24th, 2024 we have the pleasure of hosting a virtual session with Dr. Keri-Leigh Cassidy, Professor of Psychiatry from at Dalhousie University!

Title: Thrive in Stressful Times: Introducing the Fountain of Health and “THRIVE” Approach to Wellbeing

Summary: Dr. Cassidy will discuss how  the THRIVE© Approach to wellbeing uniquely integrates key findings from science of well-being, brain neuroplasticity, resilience, preventative medicine, and behaviour change.

Speaker Biography: Dr. Keri-Leigh Cassidy is a Professor of Psychiatry and is the Director of Social Policy and Advocacy in the Department of Psychiatry, Dalhousie University, Halifax. Dr. Cassidy is Founder and Chair of the Fountain of Health Association, a national initiative for mental health promotion with a knowledge translation centre.  Dr. Cassidy is a nationally recognized leader in the areas of mental health advocacy and positivism in healthcare, psychotherapy, mood and anxiety disorders.
