Eleah (she/her) is a clinical dietitian at BC Cancer (BCC)- Victoria, researcher with the BCC’s Nursing and Allied Health Research and KT Department, and clinical and sessional instructor with the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at UBC. She is a Health Professional-Investigator with Michael Smith Health Research BC with co-funding from the Lotte & John Hecht Memorial Foundation. As one of Canada’s two Board Certified Specialists in Oncology Nutrition through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, she is interested in all aspects of nutrition for cancer prevention, management, and survivorship.

Her primary research investigates diet interventions that trigger metabolic adaptions with potential implications in cancer prevention and control. She’s currently running a feasibility trial on the impact of intermittent fasting in CLL/SLL. Inspired by patient-identified information needs, Eleah is also coordinating the development of a decision support tool for patients with head and neck cancer, as a collaboration between BCC, the University of Victoria, and UBC. Based in relational and patient-oriented methodologies, she’s keen to further engage and collaborate with patients, community, and academia.
