Parisa Alaei

I am Parisa Alaei, a third-year Ph.D. student in Kinesiology at The University of British Columbia (Okanagan). I got my bachelor’s and master’s degree in physiotherapy and sports physiotherapy respectively from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

My current research focuses on sex and age-related differences in motor unit properties and force control. I am working on how the menstrual cycle influence on motor control and force steadiness and how to force control will be different in Parkinson’s disease patients by using High-Density Electromyography (HDsEMG).
