Kristen Haase, PhD

Dr. Kristen Haase is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. Her research centres on understanding the experiences of older adults as they manage cancer, chronic disease, and wellbeing. Her current projects focus on two main areas: (1) supporting older adults with cancer and their carers and (2) leveraging technology to support people with cancer and other chronic diseases. Through her research, she engages older adults with lived experience of cancer and chronic disease to co-lead the develop of community-based interventions to improve quality of life and wellbeing. Dr. Haase is the co-chair of the Canadian Network on Aging and Cancer and co-lead of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology Nursing and Allied Health group.
