Mat Holmstrom

Mat Holmstrom is a multidisciplinary artist based in Vancouver. He studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design and MacEwan University between 2007 and 2012, receiving training in both traditional and contemporary art and design practices. After relocating to Vancouver in 2012, Holmstrom furthered his commitment to developing personal art philosophies, which are expressed through painting, ceramics, and sculpture.

Holmstrom operates out of his art studio in East Vancouver and instructs at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. He previously sat on the East Side Arts Society board for several years, where he helped coordinate Studio 101, a program dedicated to supporting diverse and engaging artistic experiences for Vancouver’s inner-city youth. He continues to participate in group and solo exhibitions across British Columbia, with his work held in private collections throughout North America.
