The International Scientific Advisory Council (ISAC) comprises established scientific leaders from prominent international institutions involved in fields related to healthy aging, as well the Dean of the UBC Faculty of Medicine.
The ISAC operates as a consultation council providing strategic advice, guidance, and connections that facilitated the recruitment of the Edwin S.H. Leong UBC Chair in Healthy Aging – a UBC President’s Excellence Chair. Now that the inaugural chair holder is in place, the ISAC will support the successful launch and development of the Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Aging. The Council will serve as a scientific sounding board to support the Edwin S.H. Leong UBC Chair in Healthy Aging – a UBC President’s Excellence Chair in building the Centre and to provide external expertise and perspective to help ensure that the Centre remains true to Dr. Leong’s vision.
