In partnership with the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UBC, the Edwin S.H. Leong Healthy Aging Program is recruiting an Assistant Professor in the area of the molecular biology of aging and/or aging clocks. Review of applications will begin on April 1st, 2023 and continue until the position is filled. The anticipated start date for this position is September 1, 2023 or upon a date to be mutually agreed.

Reporting to the Head of the UBC Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, the successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. and have training in biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related discipline including, but not limited to, lipid biochemistry, nanomedicines/therapeutics, hematology, omics disciplines, or computational biology. The appointee will be expected to participate in the undergraduate and graduate teaching activities of the Department, as well as provide mentorship and training to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate learners. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research program related to the molecular biology of aging and/or aging clocks, and will be an Investigator in the Edwin S.H. Leong Healthy Aging Program. The incumbent will also show demonstrated ability in scholarly activity and will be expected to provide service to the University and the broader academic and professional community.
